Welcome!

On behalf of the Staff of Nelson Street Boys’ R.C. School, I wish to welcome all of you to our Online Learning Platform. Our goal is to work with you to provide our students with a rich learning environment. We view education as the development of the whole child: attention/emphasis is placed not just on the intellectual development but also on your son’s physical, social and spiritual development.

We are a Roman Catholic School, as a result, prayer and religious education is an integral part of our curriculum and way of life at our school. We encourage our students through prayer each day to have a living relationship with God. We seek to form pupils who will unselfishly use their gifts for the common good and are committed to work for a more just and caring society.

Education is a joint venture, and we appreciate, parents, all the assistance and support you have given your son(s) at home and school, as he navigates through this new format of learning. By working together we can help each child achieve an excellent education in a safe and positive environment.

One of our core beliefs about academic success is hard work: determination and consistent effort are the key elements in achieving success. However, all of the above is only possible within a firm but fair code of discipline.

We are dedicated to providing your child/children with a memorable, interactive, engaging distance learning experience.

The teachers and staff of Nelson Street Boys RC School believe that it is our responsibility to maintain and to continue to build a supportive and collaborative spirit at our school. Together as a school community, we will build on the traditions of the past and meet the challenges of the future in innovative and exciting ways.

“Every child can learn, just not on the same day or the same way.” George Evans.
